Dr. Kiya Ciecko was born and raised in Royal Oak Michigan. She attended Wayne State University for undergraduate studies in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. While going to college Kiya also worked as a massage therapist where she found her passion for healing others. Kiya then went on to obtain her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Before coming to YFC, Kiya was hand selected by the DOD to do a 9 month chiropractic internship at the VA hospital in Iowa City where she worked alongside M.D. D.O. and D.C. doctors to offer veterans a holistic approach to healthcare. She currently continues to widen her studies through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and she is certified in the Webster technique for expecting mothers. Dr. Kiya is also certified in Acupuncture and Cupping which she practices here in the office. In her free time, she enjoys journaling, bicycling, and hiking with her husband Kirk and her two dogs Marlowe and Henry.
