Background:  I was born in Des Moines, IA and raised right here in Urbandale. I grew up with a family of four kids. I have two older brothers and an older sister. I am very thankful that I am still surrounded with my family today. Throughout high school, I worked at a daycare and cared for all ages of children, although I was primarily with a group of 2 & 3 year olds. My husband, Matt, and I reside in Urbandale with our sports fanatic 5½-year old son, Cade, our 4-month old son, Miles, and our tiny, but “tuff” dog, Bauer.

Why I do what I do:  Why I do what I do: I love working and building relationships with new people every day. One of the most rewarding things is hearing our patients’ success stories – it continually reminds me everyday why I do what I do.

My experience with chiropractic: My experience with chiropractic:  When I joined the team at Yost Family Chiropractic in the late summer of 2006, I was very new to this thing called Chiropractic, but quickly became a firm believer.  Not only do I have my own “success story,” but I have expanded my knowledge for chiropractic by attending Palmer College of Chiropractic.  In 2007 I completed the course and became a certified chiropractic assistant in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.  I then completed The ChiroAcademy’s Chiropractic Assistant Program in 2009.  Both my kids have been adjusted since they were just days old, as well as my husband and I maintain wellness adjustments to keep our bodies strong & healthy.  I now can confidently say I have transitioned from a firm believer to a raving fan of Chiropractic!

What I enjoy doing outside of work:  My family and I enjoy biking riding (Urbandale bike trails are gorgeous!), cooking, hockey, swimming, going on walks, and spending time with our extended family.  When I am enjoying “me” time, you’ll find me practicing yoga or cooking a homemade dinner.
